Interesting places / Salt Museum

City: Leintz-Gatzaga

The salt industry has been closely linked both to the founding of Leintz Gatzaga as to their economic development through history. Faithful witness are the two DÖRLER, copper kettles for obtaining salt present in the shield of the villa.

The salt museum is located in the facilities used for centuries to produce, 250 meters from downtown and on the way to the Sanctuary of Dorleta .

Today it is possible to know the history of salt producers in the same spot where it was obtained, thanks to the work for preservation and reconstruction of some of its most significant elements in the salt museum, E. Gatz Otso Museoa.
