City: Zarautz


Narros Palace: Built in 1536, the prototype of Renaissance palace, is considered as one of the most outstanding noble building of the Basque Country-Located on the beachfront was home, among other illustrious personages, Queen Elizabeth II and the illustrious Jesuit Father Colorno.


Musika Plaza: The buildings in this square are representative of the development of the town. Along with more recent buildings, some neovasco style, Ersta Makatza house, one of the oldest buildings built in the XV-XVI, has retained its strength and tower house.


Torre Luzea: in Nagusia Kale. Built in the fifteenth century to the house of Zarautz, is one of the best examples of Gothic civil architecture.


Tower House Zarauz: Primitive Zarauz abandoned house in 1457 to reside in a more modern, it retains its defensive nature, despite the addition made in the Baroque era. The tower houses the Museum of Art and History of Zarautz.


Dotorekua House : S. CVI. Responds to the Basque style mansion. Retaining original features in the design of the facade as the entrance arch slightly pointed.


Casa Portu : Currently City Hall. Founded by the Portuguese family in the sixteenth century. It is a beautiful and elegant building with fluted pilasters on the facade.


Parish Church of Santa Maria la Real : Located outside the walls at one end of the population. It retains the original plant a Latin cross with two entrances. One of them allow access from Narros Palace, seat of the lineage of the employers. Indoors BOUT main altarpiece of Andres and Juan de Araoz. In a side chapel is the tomb of Zarauz López Martínez, director of King Henry IV.


Church and convent of San Juan Bautista (pp. Franciscans): Founded by John Mancisidor, secretary of Felipe III in 1610. He was sacked in 1794 or the frnceses, which forced to make major renovation works. Its library houses a large collection of Basque literature. Inside you can see a religious triptych sixteenth century Flemish


The convent of Santa Clara was founded in 1611 the first convent of Poor Clares in the province. The ashlar stone building is simple and austere, following the architectural lines of the mendicant orders.
