Interesting places / The Zuloaga Palace - High Tower House

City: Donostia - San Sebastián

This is an emblazoned town Palace built on an old tower house. It has three floors. The gabled roof is finished off with an eave with carved corbels. This eave ends laterally in carved stone corbels. The one that looks out onto Pampinot Street stands out for it has an inscription that says  “Christu vincit Christus regnat Christus imperat”.

The main facade that looks out onto the main street attracts attention due to its irregularity in the placing of the spaces. In the centre of the second floor, the Zuloaga family’s coat of arms stands out. The building that we now see was built in the seventeenth century.

Building belonging to the town council where the historic archives and the town library are housed. This building is declared a Monument
